The Project Explorer dialog allows you to browse and manage the content within the file and see the linked data. The Project Explorer dialog is normally docked to the left-hand edge of the application window, beneath the docked Tasks dialog.

When you are working in a file, you can open Project Explorer ( click the Project Explorer icon on the Primary Tools toolbox) to see the models, references, saved views and linked data included in the project. The Model, Views, and Link tabs of the Project Explorer dialog are used to turn on or off models, levels and references, apply saved views, select link sets and display all pertinent information relevant to a project.

The properties of the Project Explorer dialog can be set from the Project Explorer Settings dialog.
